Why I’m doing it….

I started this blog in hopes to help myself get through my family’s first pregnancy, and hopefully make you laugh a little bit at the same time.  A little bit about me:

I’m a 29 year old guy (30 a week after our due date)  living in St. Louis, MO.  My wife and I have been married for 3 1/2 years, and enjoy our big families, our small dog, and a lot of friends that we couldn’t be happier with.  I’m an avid Apple Computer “fan boy”, and work as an IT analyst for a company in Maryland Heights, MO.  Other than that I really have no credentials for writing a blog other than my undying desire to one day write for Saturday Night Live.

The main influence of this blog is a book my wife used to let me know that she was pregnant.  For any new father it is a must, not because it is in anyway informative, but because it’s friggin hilarious.

The Guy’s Guide to Surviving Pregnancy, Childbirth, and the First Year of Fatherhood by Michael Crider.

Some of the things that will probably change once this baby shows up…

Less Live Concert trips (sorry Dave Matthews, we’re not happy about it either).

More Trips to Target, up from once a week.

We might have to get a home phone.

The dog will most probably move into the baby’s room for sleepy time as she is lazy.

I might start additional blogs.

We get to smile a lot more……

  1. You’re adorable, Andy. Baby D. will be so lucky to come to such wonderful parents.

We love all three (hmm… maybe four?) of you. And, Zuzu – of course, Zuzu..

    Mom H.
